Why can i send sms but cant receive sms messages?

i can receive sms messages before in ym but all of a sudden couldnt receive anymore. my friend can receive my messages & replies but i cant receive it. pls help me & thanks a lot in advance.

  1. Are you sure your friend is adding your area code to your number. That was my problem one time.
