Why can someone say "God bless..." when?

he/she is pro-choice or pro-g*y? Which god are these people referring to? This phrase is heard over and over on almost every speech.

It is a part of modern day speach.

It is only a phrase now days. kinda like when you pass someone in the street you say " how ya doin" and keep on walking. did you realy want to know?  It is the same as saying afternoon, goodday, howdy.. to not be rude, or cold. To not be Politiacally unacceptable you almost have to say it.

Your definition of God is based on your beliefs - I know this to be true even though your belief system probably tells you that the way you define God is what God actually is.  This is difficult to express to someone who is totally ideologically oriented.  You probably think I am crazy or a sinner.

I don't know about you, but in my faith I'm taught to let God do the judging.

In my faith, we do things like marry g*y people.  I am Jewish, so it's your God too.
