  1. The world is full of double standards. Get used to it.

  2. no one should use it black or white. my ancestors got their asses whooped in thier fighting to be treated as equals. so anyone perosn balck or white that uses it needs to check themselves.

  3. Well, it is allowed in the Black culture because we have a true understanding of all the ill effects this word has. Our history is proof. And when I say our history I mean American history. When whites were using this word, which they decided to call us, they were not using it in any form or fashion as a term of endearment. Now don't get me wrong, I am not attempting to justify anyone's use of the word, but we must put in proper context the the venom that was associated with this word when it was coming out of white people's mouths regularly.

  4. well....the "N" word is a slang curse word derived from the Spanish word "Negros" which means black in color or tint. Many other countries spelling and wording sound allot like "negro" meaning black. During the very long time period of slavery which wasn't just in America, people began to twist and bend the word into slang and ended up with the more common word you hear today, "******". it was I guess a way to identify Africans because they are black in color. The reason it became offensive for them to hear is because the N word is what most slave traders called them, because they were "black". So if Anyone says "******" it brings it back to the slavery days and is somewhat demeaning.

  5. It means black but was used in the plantations where black peopel were enslaved by whites to be a bad abusive word sonmething whites did not want to be  - Black people are recaliming it for themselves alone. I have mental health difference and I call myself mad to other maddies as I am in with the in crowd but it would be insulting for someone else 'normal'  to tell me I am crazy or mad. I have physcailly disable d friends who refer to themselves as Sp8z but it is notopen for others to do the same - it is taking a form of abuse adn owning it as yourown with pride but it only works if you stop the abusers from re-using it.

I think its a brilliant way to teach about abuse.

  6. The "N" word is basically just an ethnic slang word, which was based off the word Negro which came from the Latin word for black.

Some people that say when the "N" word ends in "er" then it is an offensive word, but when it ends in "a" or "ah" it is just more of a slang.

If the word is allowed or not is totally up to you. If you choose to accept the word then it is allowed, but if you deny it then it isn't allowed.

I agree that when black themselves use it, it gives a sense that it is okay for others to use it too, but yet they don't act that way.

  7. Who cares about double standards - it's an unpleasant word that has unpleasant connotations when whites use it when referring to blacks. Just don't use it and there won't be any problems or misunderstandings!!
