in mars we have discovered ice cubes or water recently ....so we can shift there if we hav any problems here more over we can grow plants that utilizes nitrogen or CO 2...or anyother and gives out oxygen...if not we can build huge glass globes..supplying oxyen then we can live there..they say the world will end by 2012 21st even if u blive it or don care...but can we live on mars....?? dont tell marsians are on lease and they wont let us...lolz...or is there any place other than earth to live??and is the giant magnetic hole with a rotating field disc is true??

  1. If we start working now, we could send the first handful of astronauts for 1.5 years to mars in around 2030. No full evacuation, as mars is not habitable at all. We would still need Earth for a long time.

But the world is not more likely to end in 2012, as it is to end in 2009. It does not make sense to make preparations to mitigate this risk. It is a very improbable risk scenario, with very expensive solutions.

Remember: Even a impact of the asteroid Apophis on Earth in 2039 will not be even near the end of the world. It would be annoying and could cause significant damages, but the chance that it does not impact in regions far away from human settlements is very low - we might think of humans as being everywhere, but actually over 90% of Earth's surface is rarely seeing a human.

And this one is at least realistically probable (1:45000 chance) compared to all Planet X stuff (No sighting of a large Planet X on course to the inner solar system yet, though it would to be about 11 AU away from the sun now and disturbing all probes traveling outside the gravity well of Earth; No explanation why such a periodic object does not cause disturbances in the orbits of the other solar system objects every passage.)

  2. They say the world will end in 2012 but "they" also say that the Bermuda triangle is real and the Americans did not land on the Moon.  "They"  are either fools or frauds.

There is no repeat no basis for the 2012 disaster myth.  It is just a money - making scam.

Niburu and planet X are so silly that it is impossible to underestimate them.  Niburu is an old name for the planet Jupiter.  It will stay in it's usual orbit.  Planet X is the result of some woman called Nancy Lieder claiming telepathic contact with aliens on Zeta Reticuli.  She said it would come in 2003.  Oops.

If there were invading planets coming in 2012 they would be visible to AMATEUR astronomers by now and there are amateur astronomers all round the world, including the southern hemisphere.

Everything else is fraud too.  Bible codes, Nostradamus, I Ching, Mayan calendar predictions, planetary alignments, pole flips, either magnetic or geographic, Revelation and the list goes on.

If you want to find out about possible colonisation of Mars check out the "Mars Society" sites.  These people are speculative but based on genuine science and genuine engineering, not ancient or modern bulls*it.

  3. If the planet earth is going to become inhabitable on 2012, we're screwed.

There is not enough time for industry to re-tool and start building spacecraft capable of transporting enough humans to assure maintenance of a viable population on mars within 3 to 4 years.

Never mind manufacture of fuel for the craft, the social problem of picking who goes, designing the crafts, choosing places to land which are rich in useful materials, sending enough "kick start" material along for the ride.

It'd be the equivalent of sending a fleet of aircraft carrier-sized vessels into space for a multi-decade mission.  We just couldn't do it in time.

  4. Because most of us are smart enough to know the world won't end in 2012.

  5. The good news is that the world isn't going to end in 2012.  That's just when the Mayan Long Calendar runs out, and recycles.

The bad news is that if we had an urgent need to move off planet, we couldn't move to Mars in 2012.  Yes, there has been talk of terraforming the planet and it's potentially feasible, but would be enormously difficult and we don't have the technology for it yet.

You've no doubt heard that Mars has a thin atmosphere, but it's not commonly known just how thin it is.  Mars's atmosphere is .7% of Earth's--not 7%, but .7; that is, less than 1% of ours.  And what's there is almost all CO2; there's practically no oxygen.  That's an awful lot of atmosphere to create.

Also, Mars has almost no magnetic field, and it's thought that with the planet's low gravity (1/3 of Earth's) and no magnetic field to protect it, the solar wind blew away most of its atmosphere.  If true, that means we would have to actively maintain the air we've created.  We're not talking about a real fast loss, but we would have to continually maintain it, and colonists would face the slight but real risk of losing their air again if lack of materials or equipment prevented continued maintenance of the atmosphere.

There's also the consideration that we'd have to plant trees, bushes, grass, etc. all over the planet, which would probably take years.  Not to mention we'd have to import a LOT of water.  Water has been found on Mars, but as far as we know there isn't nearly enough on Mars to colonize it to anything approaching Earth standards.  To make matters worse, water is very heavy per unit of volume, which makes it harder than most substances to get it off Earth and/or to transport through space.

That said, Mars is the most earthlike place in the solar system outside our planet, and the best candidate for possible terraforming.  It's just that the difficulties involved in terraforming any planet are enormous--much bigger than we tend to imagine.

I haven't heard anything about a giant magnetic hole with a rotating field disk, but it's almost certainly another bit of hype like 2012.  Someone probably heard about an astronomical discovery of something like that which is tens or hundreds of light-years from here, and blew it out of proportion to get people riled up.  Works every time...

  6. We could at some time to a point terraform Mars. The Mayans don't say that the earth will end, we are just moving into the next cycle.

Check the link below. Sitchin wrote many books on how we might have come to be. I think its called the 12th planet for info on niburu. Maybe he's correct and we are a hybrid race created by others from off world. Maybe in the year 2012 is when they'll come back. This would be a great change would it not.

  7. YES, my Spaceship Ark is almost ready, don't tell anyone bu you can come along if you are rich and good looking.

  8. Your ignorance of the space program and its capabilities demostrates admirably the sort of people who get fooled by this absurd 2012 armageddon thing.

I suggest you and others like you go get educated, because otherwise you can get fooled by any garbage people throw at you.

  9. Sorry bud but I have it on good authority from the Jaktravartids, then Mars will be gone by June of 2011. No, we're not going to be able to hide there. We're going to have to hide out on Titan if we're going to survive.

I don't understand this whole Myan Calendar rumor though...  Its the Vogons who are comming to destroy the Earth. I got it on my sub-ether sensomatic.

  10. Often reported by the scientific community the idea of greening up mars but some difficulty with making it rain to green up earth. The time frame could possibly extend past 2012. However if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ you will not have to worry....james the hollow earth man

  11. We can't live on Mars.

How do we move to Mars 6 billions people ?

    I respect your imagination. lol.

  12. WHO says the world will end on 2012??? This is a complete HOAX!

  13. i dont think so. it is said that earth wont go in the sun but it would change its orbit slightly but the life would end completely

  14. Well, that's not a suitable option to move to mars. What is happening scientifically is that sun, as a normal star is on the verge of expanding and getting converted into a blue star. Because of this, our planet will get closer and closer and will be destroyed at some or the other time. Therefore, mars would be a giant fireball when sun consumes the earth. Thus, life will not be possible even if you have water, oxygen, food etc................

  15. teraforming a world like Mars would take a very long time there are parts of Mars the can reach 70 degrees but there isnt enough pressure you would die if you just stepped on the surface

  16. 1. Mars is not accommodating to life as we'd like it or need it to be.

    2. We'd never have the technology nor the means to get there by 2012.

    3. Don't worry, the earth will not end in 2012.

  17. no we cant bcos if the worldz goona end by 2012 then we dont have enough time
