Why can we work out abs everyday but not all muscles?

I've been told its ok to work out my abs every single day...but i need to wait a day inbetween when i work out my arms/legs/chest...why is that?

  1. Who told you that abs were ok to work out daily..??? You should always rest muscles no matter when part of the body they're from!


  2. Wrong, Abs should not be worked out every single day, unless you are looking to do cardio with your abs. Doing hundreds of situps and crunches everyday will do nothing but just cardio. Instead use weights to make your abs bigger and firmer.

    Abs are like any other muscle in your body. Do you bench press 50-100 reps of really small weight? Nope.

    Work out abs 2-3 times a week depending on intensity.
