  1. plauque can get in between your teeth too and on your tounge.

Use floss, mouth wash, a toungue scraper and chew gum.

I ALWAYS have good breath and pearly whites :)

  2. Because brushing doesn't get to all the places that bacteria and food particles can exist in your mouth.  You don't brush your tonsils, or the bed of your tongue, or your cheeks, or the pockets above and below your gums.

  3. May you are not cleaning your tongue. The coating on the tongue is also one of the major causes of bad breath. Along with regular brusing and flossing, one should clean the tongue either with tongue scrapper or brush. You can refer to www.identalhub.com for more on causes and remedies on bad breath

  4. Bad breath can also come from the stomach or the lungs and often depends on what you've been eating.

  5. Antibacterial mouthwash is great for minty fresh breath.

  6. its just bacteria build up like on ur tongue and under it.... u need to brush ur tongue too then Listerine !!!!!!!!

  7. some people dont brush properly or long enough

  8. Because of many factors. Stomach problems can cause bad breath. Also, there is a lot of bacteria up under the gums. Teeth with some decay can really cause bad breath. Or a sinus infection. And that's not even all of the reasons!!

  9. becuase brushing ur teeth simply want solve bad breath. mouth washing should work coz ur clearing and washing your throat

  10. I think a visit to the GP might help, to see if it's gum disease. If that fails, just keep using breath mints/freshener! x

  11. We all want fresh clean teeth and breath, yet brushing alone isn't the answer to this problem no matter how much money is spent on gadgets, products and rinses.

Good oral hygiene to include flossing and thoroughly and correctly brushing the teeth and oral cavity at least, twice a day is the main and first step in fighting bad breath.

Although, even with brushing twice a day, yet drinking and eating all day long is constantly allowing the bacteria to accumulate and grow on and in between and under the tissue, the teeth and tongue not allowing the morning and evening brushing to be as effective as one might like to hope for.  It only takes 30 minutes for the excess food particles or sticky sugary drinks to stick to the teeth and start building the bacteria forming plaque when left on the teeth.  But you can't (some of us do) carry a tooth brush with you every where, now can you?  So the daily eating and drinking habits also effect breath problems.  Chewing gum, smoking and snacks during the day also help add to the bad breath problem.

So what is the solution, seeing your dentist twice a year for a cleaning and preventative dentistry exam will help to eliminate the problems before they become big ones, which can lead to bad breath.  There can be other factors that cause bad breath such as; certain foods that are eaten, untreated decay, especially periodontal disease, sinus infections, undetected diseases and gastrointestinal problems can all be related.  So it's possible that a bad breath problem can be dental, medical, or related to both.

To answer your question of "why can you get bad breath even if twice a day brushing and what can you do to prevent it"...the why's answer is simply by living our every day lives for most of us and the prevent answer is good hygiene of flossing and brushing correctly, reduce or eliminate snacks and see your dentist and doctor regularly.  By the way, very good question.
