I have been looking up a particular topic and it says 1 of 2.3 million. I have been noting these websites down for research but it won't let me go past the first 1000. Why? Very annoyed person who feels that she has come to end of the road.

  1. maybe because they want u to stick wit that web site. Dont u think.

  2. Well, I can't exactly speak for the search engine but I can give a couple thoughts that appeared to me.

First thought: They probably thought that it was inutile to give us the ability to search beyond one thousand. After all, if we haven't found what we were looking for in the first one thousand, why would it be plausible for us to find it after one thousand. Also, there are not very many of us who would go beyond the first one thousand anyhow. Most probably don't even make it beyond the first one hundred results.

Second thought: Maybe they thought that if they added the capability for more search results to appear, it would make the time for search results to appear too long. Again, there are not very many of us who would be patient with a search engine that takes forever to load the results.

Again, I repeat, I can't speak for them as to why they decided to make it like this. I can suggest that you maybe contact them about it. They should have a better response.

    Hope this helped.
