Why cancel lunch periods because of the high costs of food prices?

I hope you'll add in where this happened, because I'd like to read about it.  It seems inconceivable that a school would cancel lunch period for any reason.  That would be denying sustenance to the students, and isn't that illegal?  I mean, if there's no eating allowed in the classrooms, when and where else are they going to eat?

  4. Most kids don't eat breakfast for whatever reason,my oldest grandson doesn't.Now at 11 he burns up allot of energy which needs nutrition.

    Schools know that children need to eat,if one doesn't then it's on them.Yes food is getting more expensive,the rising cost of oil.I do not see that happening in the future at all.

    PS: I remember gas when it was .13 cents a gallon and you always had gas wars.
