Why cannot i make local calls from my landline as it shows busy lines for past few days but i am able to make?

well, why don't you call your phone provider and ask them!!!

sounds like ur service has been cut with the long dist carrier. call ur phone company they will figure it out

This problem may be from the end of service provider.

As there are some Word name COS at service provider end full form is class of Service. Which mention every thing in it like local call facility, STD call facility, cli facility , 3 way conf. facility etc.. they have number of COS in there system. So may be some one has changed your COS at service provider end. or the local call you are making have some problem in it route like both service probder don't share their resource or may be less number of channel between them. but at least you must contact to you Serivce provider he can only give you answer.

There are also some phone instrumnt havin g facility to block local call so you can also try by changing phone instrument.
