Why cannot the US have a white basketball team instead of blacks?

casue if htey did us Aussies would spank you yanks. so aussies do you think the us should put whites in their team? after all the blacks were not orignally from the US anyway.

African Americans have been in the U.S. longer than most whites..Plus there are no good white American players..Most of the good white ones are Europeans..

No one (White,Red(American Indian-came over the Bering Strait) is originally from America. Actually, there are already enough talented Whites as well as other ethinicities,to make up a team of a single ethnicity, but the incentive/interest is not there.

It's not that the U.S. does not want white men on their team, it's either because not many of them tried out for the Olympic Trials, or that they did not qualify for the Olympics. But many of the big stars of the NBA didn't try out.

By your logic we would have a team of Aboriginals Vs a team of Native Americans... But I will tell you why the US doesn't, because the top 11 players just happen to be black. Colour shouldn't matter. Imagine if you were the best Aussie in the country but were told you couldn't play because you were white. How would you feel?
