  1. Is your antenna pointed in the direction of the transmitting towers for your local stations?  Most of the digital stations are in the UHF frequency band (14-69).  Remember, if the signal strength is below 50% on signal strength meter, you won't get anything but a message "No Signal".  It has to be better than 65% per my meter on my Zenith DTT900 box.

    Added info:

Rob B, you're mixing up the capability of an Analog signal with that of a digital signal.  Sure, Analog signals come in whether weak or strong.  With digital, it has to be strong (65% plus) in order to get a picture.  Your channels 59 and 23 are analog and were able to receive them.  We're now talking Digital.  Different animal all together.  You say you have an antenna, but you don't say whether it's an indoor or outdoor or attic antenna and what type it is.  You need to have a higher gain antenna to be able to pull in those digital signals and the antenna should be a UHF antenna, which I will assume you have considering you are getting channels 59 and 23.

  2. Make sure you have done a new channel scan. If you just plugged in the converter without a new scan things like that will happen. You usually need to be tuned to channel 3 on the set and then run the setup scan on the tuner. All future channel changing will happen at the converter box.

  3. Are you sure you don't try to get Cable channels?

These boxes can't get cable above 13 only off-the-air.

  4. I had the same problem.  On one antennae I had to move it higher and aim it different.  The reason is that the digital transmitter are not in the same location as the old stations. On my other TV I had to buy an amplified antenna.  When the amplifier was unplugged it only picked up stations under 13.  After I plugged it in all the stations were picked up.
