Why cant I score from a free kick in Fifa 08?

In Fifa 08 - when I get a free kick I can never score?

I will be like right outside of the box and have a free kick but the wall of players always blocks me. And if i shoot over the wall- then it goes too high up. Does anyone know how to curve or bend the ball around the wall and into the goal? Because right now all i can do from free kicks is crossing and short pass. Thanks.

Try practicing. It takes a while to hit the happy median. I tend to over shoot them but a few time recently I've been able to hit a few belters over the wall and in goal. I can only recommend pratice but the game is smart and it won't let you score easily from fks.
