Why cant I see the moon at night?

I haven't seen the moon in several days. Im wondering if our new moon, or full moon will come soon.

Sometimes the moon is visible on the daylight side of earth. When it is on the day side, it cannot be seen from the night side.

New moon is in about 3 days so there would be just a sliver here.  I don't see it here, but it's cloudy and foggy, so I wouldn't see it even if it is facing us at night. (I'm in North America.)

Either ther are clouds in sky or you are looking at wrong direction.

Third possibility would be that Moon is new moon and u  can't see it in first 2 days well.

The moon is sometimes below the horizon at night. It does not have a contract to show up every night.
