Question:

Why cant anyone(like the nra) try to repeal(get rid of) the 1986 machine gun ban?

because from what i have been seeing and hearing, crime has risen since this ban, because they are making there own machine and cant be track

  1. uh...because no sane person blames a machine gun ban for a crime increase; and repealing it would be political suicide

You can buy a machine gun today, legally.  It is a somewhat lengthy process involving locating a Class III dealer, and filling out a lot of paperwork, and going downtown to get documents and releases, but it can be done.  I know because the process is the same for a suppressor (silencer) and I got one of those this year.
