  2. idk..... but in Mexico (a while ago) even BABIES could drink alcohol. But it can hurt your body while it's growing or w/e.

  4. i know wat u mean... :]

i think its beacuz it can tamper with our brain development and we are to "irrisponsible" with our actions...but i think adults are too.

  5. If you're thirteen, you think you're so mature and all that. But your body's just beginning to develop. Drinking alcohol pretty much destroys all that progress and hampers all kinds of development. Have some booze now, say goodbye to your liver.

  6. Your brain is still forming....

  7. Because it can mess up your brain development if you drink too much. Your brain is pretty much done at 18/19/21 (whatever the drinking age is where you live), but at 13 it's still forming connections for logic and reasoning.

  8. It's a health issue. Your body hasn't reached full maturity yet and consuming (or overindulging in) alcohol would harm your body's (and brain's) development.

Give your body, your relationships, and your studies a chance and put off drinking alcohol as long as possible.

  9. They can.  Look at the kids in Germany, Europe, and most of the rest of the world.  Only the US has this strange fixation on the age of 21.  In Germany it's 16, but it's not enforced, so most 13+ kids can have a beer at the bar.  The others are correct that the brain is not fully developed until adulthood, so it's not good to be alcoholic as a kid.  It's never good, but it's worse as a kid.   A couple beers won't hurt, though. Unfortunately, the 21+ drinking laws just encourage kids to binge drink illegally and without supervision and that is just as dangerous as letting them drink a little earlier.  It all started with the puritans...
