Why cant i add the photo in imovie?

im making a slide show in imovie and for some reason i cant add one of the photos how come? how do i add it?

You need to have the photo you want in iPhoto. On the right hand side you can seee there's a

"note" for music

"camera" for pictures (that are in iPhoto)

and so on...
