Why cant i buy items like:either and elixir in pokemon diamond\pearl?

i nead elixirs and eithers for my pokemon can someon tell me if i can buy any of them?maybe there aqre any similiar items?

No sorry you cant buy them but you can find them. Its because there very rare items. There are simmilar items like  a leppa berry. If you grow alot you dont need any more exlirs or ethers. Use a pp up (you can win it as a prize in the lottery in jubilife city) so your pokemon doesnt run out of pp fast.
