Question:

Why cant i copy and paste pictures into photoshop?

says it in the question, just wont do it when i try? normal click copy and paste or ctr c and ctr v. all i can do is drag the picture in but it ends up resizing the canvas and staying on the background layer

  1. You can only copy and paste to your hard drive. You have to upload pictures to web site. Click the brows button to upload them.


  2. YOu cant do it through the keyboard. You should have the picture copied, then go to the top menu bar and chose Edit > Paste.

  3. Have you tried opening the images in Photoshop first and then selecting all (CTRL+A) and then copy and paste (CTRL+C - CTRL+V) into the new image? It should paste it onto a new layer.

    If you're trying to paste it into a jpg image you may need to turn the background into a 'layer' first (just double click on the background image icon in the layer panel) so it says 'Layer 0'.

  4. Try saving the picture and then opening it in the program.
