Why cant i dowload music from limewire?

i have been downloading music from this computer forever now i cant it keeps saying it is not fully connected to the internet but i am , i rencently installed a virus ware on the the computer but i paused it to see if that was it nothing it wont let me still what can i do

Well, I'd advise you NOT to use limewire or kazaa or bearshare and similar software. The downloads come with a lot of virus and/or spyware/adware, a lot of them anyways. I would recommend using torrents, as they are more reliable.

Secondly, there could be a few reasons behind this problem. The first obvious reason would be the antivirus software. The internet settings there could definitely stop downloads. And pausing it won't help as you would completely need to disable it or uninstall it.

Then there could be firewalls, that might be activated in the antivirus software itself. If not, check any other firewalls that may be active.

If none of these seem to be causing the problem, it might be due to ports. You might have to open up ports on your network. Google it, there are a a lot of sites that will walk you through opening ports, it's not really that hard once you get the gist of it. Might be a little confusing at first though.

Your Firewall may be blocking Limewire from downloading files.

Go to Start

Control Panel

Windows Firewall

Then click the tab that says Exceptions

and make sure Limewire is checked.

If that doesn't work maybe reset your router or something else or uninstall and reinstall just move your music before you uninstall Limewire because it could take your music with it.

I also reccommend installing FrostWire instead of Limewire.

It's safer and all-together better, trust me.

Try mp3fiesta.com The songs cost 8 to 10 cents, are always well done right off the CD and there is no problems with virus or other bad stuff.

I am not associated with them, but they just do a good job.

P2P software are not safe..you can try to uninstall and reinstall limewire
