Why cant i get a boyfriend?

Question

im 15 and its like guys dont even like me. Ive never even danced with or held hands with a guy. aghhh how stupid do i sound? ok. sorry. getting down to buisness:

I'm short, 5' 1 " ish

hair a little past shoulders, brown, but reddish tint when in light, sometimes curly but i straighten it other times

decent style, i guess, lots of charlotte russse and/or retro stuff. very little makeup if any. just a little mascara, some shadow possibly, and lipgloss

my eyes are almondy shaped ( like real almonds, its wierd...) and a like light honey brown, a few freckles across the bridge of my nose, and reddish lips.

im skinny, but not like anorexic, ( 109 ish) long legs for my size

idk i read alot but becasue i like to not because im friendless. Im cheerful and people say im smart, but i make stupid mistakes all the time (we can only hope that its endearing). i dance and am in a club called opperation kindness. I guess that my friends and I would be the muic freaks if we had to have a title, but its jus because we love good music, not because were playing the viola or something wierd. also, i have a very diverse range in who i hang out with, some popular kids, some of the kids with "problems" but just like their all people to me, not steryotypes.

ok, this may sound weird, but yesterday i started reading this book called "The Frog Buster" by k. k. and v. Rasmussen. I'm 15 just like you, and i it's really, really helpful and eye opening.

it's all about dating advice and feeling secure with who you are as a teenager. my neighbor who used to babysit me was the one who gave it to me.

PLEASEE read it! it sounds kinda awful--but its really not.

you need to be happy without one ...  once you are comfortable with just being you and just being with your friends and don't care at all about having a boyfriend, then they will likely flock to you ...  until you don't give a darn about having one, they will sense a vibe about it and stay away ... it is hard to explain ...  just exude confidence and happiness ...  truly do not care if you have a guy ...  then things will very likely change ...  you are still very young and a lot ofpeople are just figuring this attraction ting out ...  I was 15 when i got my first boyfriend and all that stuff - nI was on swim team and modeled and stuff - it wasn't about looks or being thin  ...  it's just the way things go for some people ...

Why do you want a boyfriend?  Do you not get enough attention from your dad?  Concentrate on just having friends right now, boys are a waste of time at 15, and right when you stop trying, Mr. Right now will come along, you  will have tons of fun, and make great memories,( try not to make horrible memories)  I was the girl in high school that noone knew, and at 30 years old, with 2 children, I met and married the "mr popular" from high school, so you never know what lies in store for you, just give it time, and have some fun, and work hard towards making your way, when you focus on making yourself a better person, people ar more attracted to you:)  Good Luck!

Well, I don't think this is a situation where you CAN'T get a boyfriend, maybe it's just that you aren't social enough or maybe you're not around guys a lot?  Try meeting some new guys often and keep talking to them. be more open and maybe you could try different styles and makeup. Who knows, but it's just a tip? haha, sorry this advice sucks [=

you sound like me....ok here's what i learned this past summer. if there's someone you want out there, don't be scared to go talk to him...possibly write him a letter? you'll be just fine. my friend also taught me not to be scared of what the guy might say. she asked out this guy, he said no but she didn't get mad or whatnot. i probably would. but you shouldn't be afraid. yeah, the thought of talking to him face to face might seem a little scary but once you get it over with, its gonna be fine.

i had the same problem but i learn to be myself and talk and stand out more then i just started talkin to guys until i was comfotable to walk up and start talkin to cute guys. it's all about how people see you when you hand out with people you met other new people then when guys are around you more they start to like you and that's how you get guys. oh and it helps to flirt a little but have a limit
