Why cant i get a job???

Question

Im 17 and ive been looking for a job since 9th grade and im about to become a senior! something is wrong idk what else i couldve done.

Ive only had 2 interviews and no call backs...all of my friends have got jobs and im the only one who is jobless.. I applied for anywhere and my 2 interviews were at mcdonalds and friendlys....Im a student athlete so during school i sometimes have to stay after and practice or whatever, but during summer vacations ive been trying to get jobs...

Im 5'7 and 145 pounds so im capable of lifting stuff "or even if they want me to just run in circles i would do that" but ive had no luck getting a job in 3 years!

Hi Rauchet,

what kinds of jobs are you trying to get. If they're not ones that really interest you, even if you're qualified, interviewers may be picking up on that and pass you up (and I mean "you" in the general sense).  I've applied for jobs before and the places that hired me did so because they knew I had the right attitude.  The few I haven't gotten have been because I applied for something I was technically capable of but not very enthusiastic about.  Think about what kinds of jobs interest you that you also have the required skill and knowledge for.

Another poster mentioned you jump into an online business.  Unless you know enough about what to look for (and what to avoid because there are some very shady ones) I would suggest you pass on that idea.... at least for now.  While I happen to be in one (as well own a music studio) an online business is a BUSINESS that requires knowledge and skills.   The people who really make money in them are the ones ready,willing and able to learn the skills of an online business and stick with it until it starts to pay.  You should be wary of anyone trying to make an online business sound "easy".  If it was that "easy" everyone would be doing it.
