  1. Head lice is not something that you can treat by yourself.  It will take full cooperation of your whole family -- who are probably infected with the little buggers, as well.

Use the shampoo that you can get from your druggist or recommended by your doctor.  But, as important, you must change your sheets -- and your whole family's sheets. as well, each night.  I'd also use a multipurpose bug spray -- like Raid House and Garden -- liberally in the home each day.

You MUST enlist the help of your whole family in getting rid of the lice.

    Good luck!

  2. 1st of all you shouldnt be going to school if you have head lice. 2nd you are not getting rid of all the eggs when your treating your head if they are not going away.  You need to treat with either an over the counter or Rx treatment and then again in a week. Both times you need to make sure you are ridding your head of all the eggs!!

  3. you have to wash your hair with lice med, then repeat in a couple days.when you wash your hair you have to pick everything out of your head(bugs and nits)or they will hatch because i don't care what the med says it does not kill nits.make sure you boil all brushes and hair accesories.also make sure you wash your jackets and bed clothes and keep them in the dryer on high heat.i almost forgot if you have any stuffed animals or anything on your bed,if you can't wash them seal them in a plastic bag for 2 weeks.good luck to you

  4. What you should do, is use RID shampoo (The one with the stopsign on it...), or any other lice killing shampoo. You should also buy a lice comb, something like this:

    http://www.amazon.com/LiceGuard-Robi-Com...

    or

    http://www.amazon.com/Terminator-Profess...

Also, you might want to buy something like this, (a spray that helps you identify the nits) as it will make it easier to find:

    http://www.amazon.com/Neon-Locator-Treat...

Keep in mind that you need to do it more than once, and it needs to be done regularly.

I hope you get it figured out! Best of luck.

  5. My daughters have caught head lice a number of times from school and I have found this always works for us. It might sound like a bit of a hassle but it saves a lot of time and money in the long run

Buy a treatment conditioner, such as lice breaker :lice breathe through their legs and the conditioner suffocates them, it is also less painful to comb through your hair. Use a metal comb not a plastic one, they work better.

After treating your hair you will need to:

    Wash your sheets

Wash any jumpers/school jackets you have worn

Lightly spray your lounge with fly spay

Lightly spray your mattress and pillow with fly spray

Wash any teddies/cushions that sit on your bed (or you can put them in a plastic bag for 4 weeks instead if you wish)

Then for the next 3 nights put a normal conditioner (not a treatment conditioner) in your hair and comb through with the lice comb, this will get rid of any eggs that have been left behind.

  6. LaurenXaprild,

Sick ducker gave you some good advice.

I know that there is a place online that sells each of those products plus some other great ones in a combo deal.

It is the Ultimate Lice Kit or something like that but you will need your parents help to get rid of the lice and nits.  it is going to take patience.

And remember, at any given time, it is estimated that 10% of school age kids have head lice.

Not sure where you are but here are two websites to buy the NitFree products.

Good luck...and hang in there.  You will get rid of them, you just need to get the right tools.

  7. RID you can find it at walgreens or any other drugstore.

    1 MAROON

  8. First throw all of your hair brushes and combs away - or if necessary wash all in a solution of bleach and hot water.  All of your bedding- sheets, blankets, pillowcases etc need to be washed in HOT water and if they are light colored Bleach them.  I would also throw your pillow out and buy a new one or wash it in hot water.  Also remember to wash or throw away anything that is contact with your head.  Headbands, bows, stuffed animals you sleep with etc.  In addition to this you need to do the lice treatment.
