Why cant i hear sound when i play back a movie i recorded off my tv?

I can hear movies on my vcr, but when i record a show off my tv and play it back i cant hear anything. I have it hook up as so: Cable from floor to cable box-cble from box to vcr-cable from vcr to tv. regular cable no rcas or extras.

Hi Bowser,

It sounds like you have everything properly connected.

You might check the cables to verify they are tight.

It is possible your VHS lost ability to record sound but can still play it properly.
