  1. It is mostly normal.  During the sleep state your body is paralyzed during many stages of sleep.  When you awaken suddenly as from a nightmare it is common to not be able to move for a few seconds to a minute.   Don't panic and very quickly you will be able to move.  If this continues and is troubling you might want to contact a professional.

  2. I heard about this once...some kind of brain wave paralisis that makes you hear things and not move.

  3. Actually it sounds more like maybe your house is huanted.  The same thing happend to me a long time ago.  My parents bought a new house (brand new) and this happend two or three times to everyone in the house at different times of course.  They had to eventually call for a priest to come in an praise our whole house with holy water.  Then it never happend again.  I know what you are feeling, it's kinda like being violated in some weird way, but just try to relax and maybe find someone to come in and bless your house.  You shouldn't have any problems after that.

  4. it has happened to me too but i think im still half asleep but the figure was only a shadow to me its really wierd and i get sacred some times but ussually the shadow figure doesnt talk i just go under my covers and fall back asleep exept once he said go to sleep and then i heard a dog bark and he was gone it was freaky

  5. Well I have heard about this phenomenon before and I cannot remember the name that was given to it, but it is something that has been attempted to be explained by both science and supernatural beliefs.

Scientifically it is something to do with either the influx or the lack thereof of nutrients to the brain causing temporary paralysis.  Your mind awakens you, but due to being starved from such nutrients or having too much of a particular substance residing in your brain it has not regained full control of your body and was only capable of  actually awakening you.  Due to the stress your brain takes on from the lack of correct impulses relaying to it and your body it goes into "panic" mode.  This can cause hallucinations that could be fueled by fears, hopes, or even something sub-conscious you were not even aware you saw, heard, or thought.

On the supernatural side, however, there are some that believe that younger individuals have a stronger natural attuning to parallel dimensions/the unseen.  This could be the ability to see, hear, or even interact with things others can not comprehend or even refuse to. This is a belief that cannot be 100% proven due the the fact that proof must be able to be recreated and be based in solid evidence.  The supernatural, very rarely, is taken seriously even with unexplained, but clear evidence.  This could be your case, in that you are dealing with a latent, awakening, ability to see, hear, or interact with something others cannot.

I truly cannot say which I would believe it truly is, but I cannot not deny that when I was younger I had many situations that were similar, but not the same, that to this day cannot be explained by science nor solid evidence.  At my age I would have to fall victim to the belief that as the older you get without honing those skills the more you rationalize and the farther away from supernatural thinking you get.  My thoughts are to check your diet and see if anything is constant with these occurences.  If there is indeed a variable that conicides with the events it could be the reason for them.

Ultimately it is up to you to try and delve further into it or pass it off as something chemical.  Your mind may be playing tricks on you giving you hallucinations, you may be having a slight fever that subsides later, or you could in fact, be dealing with something unexplainable.  I hope I was able to, at least, help somewhat in giveing  you some clarification.  I am by no means,  an expert, or a doctor, but those are my thoughts on it regarding what I have experienced in my short lifetime.  Good luck on figuring out what answers you truly need.

  6. I have heard of this before on Montel. When he has the phychic Sylvia on... the part about feeling like someone is on top of you. I remember it was something to do with leaving your own body. Some people would have bruises and cuts and not be able to breathe and they thought a ghost or spirit was attacking them. Sylvia said it was themselves leaving their body, like astral projection. (Not that I believe it)

I sometimes have dreams where I can't move at all... I can't walk and Im frozen there. I try to wake myself up and sometimes Im half awake but still dreaming and I can't move. I finally jolt myself awake - its a sort of nightmare for me. This  could be it too.

    Good luck.

  7. that had happen to me before when i try yelling and couldn't, and felt a person on top of me, my grandma pastor told me that was a bad spirit (demon)

  8. Well....This happens to me every morning but maybe it is just hillusinations {Not quite sure if that is the correct spelling} because that happens to me. Has anyone in your family died? If they have then maybe you're thinking about them. I never feel like anyone is on top of me but I am not able to move in the morning. We have an 4 floors and I can never go down the stairs in the morning.

Probably not a very good answer.
