Why cant i play maplestory private server?

Question

When i click the private server icon in the Nexon/maplestory directory, the

screen turns black and then back to normal again like nothing has happened.. can anyone help me??

what private server are you using? i know a couple of the private servers need the v.55 maplestory client inorder to work, if its v 56 or 57, it won't work. i recommend finalstory, just the same thing though
