Why cant i play my friend in call of duty 4 online ps3?

i have ps3 online working fine and i can play cal of duty 4 online fine and i can play every other of my friends except one? it just says unable to connect to host and wen i invite it says the same for him, but if a 3rd person invites me and my friend in to his party is works perfectly fine? does anyone know how i can invite my friend easily like it should be? cause i really want to play with him on cod without having to ask other people any one come across this? or know how to fix?

This problem is happening to so many people, the same happens to me and not just COD4.  Also FIFA 08, NBA, Battlefield.  It is some sort of DNF problem.  Basically your wireless connection has set up a Wall, blocking access to your friends IP address.  Some people have managed to configure the interent settings to make it work but I would not know where to start.

I always get that happening to me, normally you just got to keep on trying and eventually it should let you into his party... If that don't work just o back to play online screen and enter back in... coz sometimes it can s***w up, you will know because your online name badge will have disappeared... so tryy one of them although im not certain.

try having another frined host a game and you and your friend join his then you could play both of your friends =p
