  1. PACE your self thats what it is you can start out with a reall slow jogging and then go up to a still slow jog but for a longer time period. also add in some sprints to make you faster.

  2. You still need to build endurance but some strength training would help.  Are you eating healthy so your body has the energy to maintain a lengthy run?  Very important.  Try walking/jogging, repeating.  It will assist in building endurance for a longer running period.

  3. hun if you wanna be a runner you have to run not just walk.

at first start with a short distance you do not want to over do it the first time because then you will quit and you will wonder why anybody would go through the torture of running. on the contrary i think the walking has helped you out without you even knowing it because you have to start by walking so you do not hurt yourself. now you need to kick it up a notch and well run the distance you can. If you wanna get to running 4 miles at least start by running a short distance for two weeks then walk the rest of whats left of your 4 miles. then on the other set of two weeks set your goals higher and run more than what you were running previously. and so forth. every two weeks just add more and more distance up until you reach your goal but you have to run.

  4. practice runnin. i used to suck when i was small, then i ran at school like all the time becuase the teacher made us so it, and i am one of the top runners.

try running your best for like 20-30 minutes twice a week. it helped me alot

  5. Walking doesn't train you well for running.  If you want to run for longer then you NEED TO RUN.
