    It's the kind of verbal equivalent of those people who write "u" instead of "you" and "y" instead of "why", I guess! It just ain't English is it?

    Because consumers in the UK don't want to pay for anything these days, they want it all for free. That's why bigger companies have to outsource at lower cost - the margins are tighter. If you want more, you pay more. Easy!

    It's for the same reason that people will buy cheap, junk food in Tesco rather than food that does them good. It's all about money. Same issue. You get what you pay for.

  3. Call centers are all farmed out overseas nowadays. It's cheaper for the company.

  6. because whichever company you call these days, their call centre seems to be in india! without sounding racist, its very annoying, especially if you are trying to deal with financial issues. you want to be sure they are doing what you want them to.

    if they cant understand english they shoudnt be doing that job, simple

  10. Because they are reading from a set script and read too quickly because their supervisor has to ensure they deal with a target number of calls per hour
