Why cant i view the planet Earth live?

i want to watch planet Earth live from space...is there some way i can do that? and why not, if i cant...

  Satellites record the images,transmit them to earth,they are put into archives and made available later

What do you expect to see?  The GEOS satellites image the earth, but you can't see anything move from picture to picture except clouds, it is too small.   And since they are geosynchronous, the earth image doesn't change position.   Do you want to watch the earth pass by under a satellite that orbits the earth in 90 minutes?   Thousands of miles of the earth go by as you watch?  You can hardly see the scenery up close from a car at 60 mph, so what does a closeup satellite show from second to second?

Sorry, but that's not available.  Satellites cost hundreds of millions of dollars and no one wants to launch one to use as a really expensive Earth cam ;)

Sometimes NASA astronauts will film live video from Earth then their not doing anything else and you can view it from NASA's site.

Other than that, no.

I don't know of any video satellite feeds.
