  1. The question is phrased wrong: People aren't Kosher, they EAT Kosher. They can't eat any animal that doesn't chew it's cud and have split hooves. They can't eat any fish that don't have gills and scales, and some orthodox Jews don't eat any dairy products that are not Cholov Israel, which means that the milk is from Israel. Basically the reason is because the animal is otherwise considered "impure".

Hope that clears up your confusion!

  2. Kosher laws are religious restrictions that have a basis in logical food safety procedures of the time.

Many religions have dietary restrictions.  Now that I think of it, the Protestant sects are probably some of the few who don't

  3. its against their religion

  4. Because it's forbidden in Torah (Jewish Law). Breaking the law breaks the covenant with God i.e. land, blessings, offspring.

  5. Because they believe it isn't killed in the right way!

They want to eat meat that has been killed in a certain/better way! xx

    Hope I helped! xx

  6. They don't believe in bathing meat in the milk of its mother. So, you can't mix beef with cheese because they both come from cows. They also don't eat pork or seafood. Many think the reason for this stems from the fact that pork and seafood are both foods that can easily kill you from food poisoning, but the reasons are mostly lost in time, since the rules were handed down in the Torah thousands of years ago. Check Wikipedia for more.

  7. proper eating as describer by god in the bible OT Leviticus and Deuteronomy

Food restrictions  for health reasons 2000 years ago sanitation and refrigeration were poorly practiced.

one other point is the cleanliness of the animal pigs lived in filth the hand half of the steer also was dirty Just typical bias..

there are many Jews who do not adhere to it
