Why cant my EPG on my dvd recorder pick up all the sky channels that I receive?

we have a sony bravia hd tv and a sony dvd recorder RDR-HXD870connected by scart and hdmi cables and arials and a sky box standard

This DVD recorder has Freeview built in and will only show on the EPG the Freeview channels.

It is possible to connect the DVD recorder to the Sky box, and you may be able to record programmes. (You will not be able to record some films and sports)

To do this connect your Sky box to the DVD recorder by scart.

your sky box will only transmit one channel at a time to your tv/recorder. It isnt interactive so you will need to set your box to change channel when you want to record that channel.
