Question:

Why cant my HDTV find my cable channels?

Im only using an coax wires plugged into the back of my TV...so is that the problem...or is it the cable provider??? I have the Sanyo 42". Please help.

  1. You need an HDTV cable box which you can get from your cable provider. Use the HDMI connection if you can (the component -red, green, and blue) connection will work but hdmi is better. You can't get hdtv from a coax connection.

    If it's not finding the regular channels, make sure you are on the correct input and that the TV is set for your coax input before you do a channel search.


  2. In your tv setup menu, make sure you have selected "Cable" and not "Antenna" for RF input selection.

  3. You either need a cable card or a set-top box from your provider.
