Why cant my phone recieve video/pic. messages?

I have an envy from verizon and I cant get recieve pictures. Idk if its because its the 1st gen. of envy or what, because my family can recieve them.

your plan probably doesn't support it, unless you have the same plan as your family then i don't know what could be wrong

1.)  some phones don't have that capability

2.) verizon can be blocking them. I have seen this happen in the past.

they also don't let you use all the features the phone really has.

3.) you might have to get a specific plan for pictures
