Some may be too embarrassed to admit it, or sum thing like DAT

Some do or some can but they prefer their own perspective as they feel they either know more or are more experienced in that perspective.

People with the best answers normally take BOTH perspectives into consideration and find a mean to them, but most people just instinctively take their perspective over the perspectives of others all the time...it's why most best answers are chosen based on what THEY want to hear and THEIR perspective, even if it was completely WRONG.  

Some people will agree wit you and take your perspective into consideration, but dont' count on it all the time, many people look for the negative before the positive on things for some reason, especially if it's outside their comfort zone, so don't fret it, just find your social box that take your perspective.

because they haven't expieraned what you have and cannot possibly know what your perspective is.

Now if you are asking why people don't try to think about other people's perspectives than the answer is that people often get so caught up in their own lives they forget to realize that other people have feelings too.

Because some people are very firm and set in their beliefs and opinions and refuse to look at the other side in fear that what they believed for so long might be false.

We all have views and opinions, but not many are able to set those aside and take someone elses. I do because I am interested and curious about others thoughts, and that allows me to understand and sometimes alter my views. Some are ignorant or very naive, and not trying to be judgemental, they might be just shocked to hear new ideas. Others are just rude, and the rest just cannot comprehend beyond their "norm". I just had a friend tell me that she had a serious relationship with her 1st causin when she was a teenager, and she was ashamed of the thought of it, but she knew that I was the only one she could talk to about it and get a truely neutral opinion without me thinking bad about her persona.

The point is that at some point or another in everyones life, there will be a time where we do something out of the norm that would change our prespectives. Someone could be opposed to abortion and later on be put in the position to have one done, and as a consecuence, be able to see someone elses prespectives. But I guess it takes personal experiences sometimes in order to see the other side.

Because people are limited by there own perspective. Till the can look at something beyond there own viewpoint and opinions it is hopeless.
