Why cant polarized 3d be viewed on a hdtv?

I have a full 1080p very high resolution monitor and cant seem to see polarized images for some reason like they do in the theater. The red and blue glasses work fine though.

  1. state your question better. its your images not your tv. tv just displays ****.
