Why cant someone from Michigan buy tickets to the game at Mellen Arena??

Maybe because you can't spell "Mellen" right.  What do you think it's named for John Mellencamp?  Stay home and see the Pens take care of business at "Joe Lewis" Arena.

No one will ever be the "New" Hockeytown They do this to us in Tampa too... I live there now but My family likes to come down and watch the games. They say it's to promote the team in it's home "Town" and make sure they "feel at home" there is also a Fish market that won't sell octopi to people from the mid west durning the next few days. And to answer you my lovely Yinker yes it would be c**p is they did it in Det.
