Why cant they beat TIGER?

I mean everyone in the PGA tour is a scratch golfer.. some of them even have a couple of majors under their belt. What is it that Tiger has that the rest of the competition dont?

Is Tigers mental game just that much better/a class above everyone else? Is it because they treat him like god and raise him to the pedestal that they choke? What is it that makes him so special?

Tiger gets beat often.  Any player on Tour can beat him.  BUT, Tiger has the best record because he is the most motivated, intelligent, hard working, focused, intense, relaxed, confident, talented, best trained golfer in the history of the game.  He plays every shot like it is the one to win.  He thinks way ahead, even changing his game to suit a course.  He takes the game very seriously, but he manages to take himself a little less seriously, knowing he will make mistakes, and accepting it.

The reason why tiger beats the rest is because he beats everyone on every shot. If he was to go first  on the tee and bombs one 350 yards the next guy will try to kill it and they mess up.

Tiger's mental ability is very strong, stronger than most all athletes in any sport.  Tiger's success has given him a bit of an "intimidation" factor.  Look at the Accenture Match Play from a couple of weeks ago.  Golf Digest had a feature several months back where they compared other golfers' stroke averages when they play in the same grouping with Tiger and when they do not over the last ten years.  All but two players' stroke averages were higher when they played with Tiger.

I think some of the answers are in your question.  Yes, he has a stong competitive mind for the game, and there is an ora he gives off around other players that can be very intimidating.  Plain and simply put: he is just a superior player.  He works harder, practices harder, and is clutch when it counts.  Once he masters the art of coming from behind in the final round of majors to win them, you can forget it.  (In all of his 13 major victories, he has had sole position or a share of the lead after 54 holes.)

Tiger is mentally tougher than anyone else on tour.  You don't see him giving up 4 shot leads on Sunday.  He's probably the most physically gifted golfer ever and add to that the hardest working golfer.  Golfers didn't know anything about a weight room prior to Tiger Woods.
