  1. Because only the military can wear them.

    You can actually get charged/arrested for it or fined, no joke. OR you could be let off being warned and changed into something else.


  2. Because you'd be impersonating military personnel. Besides what do you need to wear camouflage in Barbados for????

    On a plus side, dark colours attract the sun anyways so avoid those dark colours and dress light...

    Caribbean nations such as Barbados and Aruba have strict laws against non-military personnel wearing camouflage military clothing. It’s a concern if you are a tourist who is unaware of the regulations – as tourists are not exempt from this law.

    The laws exist because of the existence of insurgents in the region – anyone wearing combat gear and military clothing is assumed to be a rebel.

  4. Because the authorities in Barbados will not lower their standards to match yours.
