  1. it all depends on what medicine you are talking about. certain drugs dont have any interactions with alcohol, and some if combined with another alcohol may have very serious effects.

  2. I don't think so.  All the study confirmed that is not recommended.  Your may be allegergic to the medicine. Alcohol is drug, it may affect your heart, stomach and other parts of the body, beside you don't know the component of the medicine, to be sure you should ask any pharmacist.  When you get a prescription ask the pharmacist.  Also there certain medications that cann't be mixed with others: example:  I was told not to take metaformin medicine for diabetes with cipro antibiotic.  After drinking alcohol you should never take any medication.  If you take a drink, skip the medication to be on the right track.  Don't take any change, it could be to late. 3. "Mixing alcohol with certain medications can cause nausea and vomiting, headaches, drowsiness, fainting, or loss of coordination.

It also can put you at risk for internal bleeding, heart problems, and difficulties in breathing. In addition to these dangers, alcohol can make a medication less effective or even useless, or it may make the medication harmful or toxic to your body.

Some medicines that you might never have suspected can react with alcohol, including many medications which can be purchased “over-the-counter”—that is, without a prescription. Even some herbal remedies can have harmful effects when combined with alcohol."

  4. Alcohol is considered a drug, when you take two or more drugs synergism occurs and the side effects of both drugs are increased.
