  1. Because 4 men with rucksacks had bombs in theirs. Don't risk it, the Metropolitan Police have a history of murdering foreigners and claiming to have done it for the greater public good.

  2. Yeah I imagine You have no idea what goes on outside of the US. Google the 7/7 bombings.

  3. Terrorists used them in 2005

  4. Because the police might shoot you... sorry. I didn't know that they had that rule. They are usually packed so that you have to stand very close to each other. Maybe they just take up too much room.

  5. I went to England and had my backpack when taking the tube in london, nobody told me it was forbidden, but the tube is not so good when having a backpack, there is not enough room, it is small, Much better travelling by bus and you can see the city from the second floor of it.

  6. I live near London and visit it quite regularly and haven't seen signs saying "no backpacks".  People travel on the tube with suitcases (going to the airports or london hotels), briefcases, bags etc.  I don't know where this rumour came from but if it is true go on the "TFL" (UK) website and it might tell you there any rules and regulations.

  7. Becuase of 7/7

  8. I often take my back-pack on the tube...well, a couple of times.

    I think you'll be ok.
