Why cant we open our eyes while sneezing?

Physically impossible to keep your eyes open when you sneeze. Your nose is sort of scrunching up and it closes your eyes automatically.

It's a reflex. I've tried and it's impossible. Besides...if you open your eyes, the germs from the sneeze might get in your eyes which causes infections~

i read somewhere that if you keep your eyes open, your eyeballs will pop out, as your eyeballs are bulging out when you sneeze. so it is a natural reflex that your body has to keep your eyes closed.

I just had about 7 really strong sneezes and as much as I tried, I could not keep my eyes open. Simply because it is is impssible the force of the sneeze closes the eyes.
