Why cant we repair a 4 inch cut in tyres? ?

i ran with a flat tyre!

what would i ve done i had no options,should i ve gone slow or fast to minimise the damage.?

  1. Tires were designed to run at correct pressure.

    It did not matter whether you ran fast or slow on flat tires, the damage is done by the rims being forced onto the sidewalls by the weight of the car.

    The tire is now unsafe, ..replace it.

  3. Only punctures up to 1/4 of an inch can be repaired and only if they are in the tread area.  4 inches is a HUGE bit of damage - the only way to repair that is to tear the tire apart and rebuild it.  Obviously that ain't happening.

    If you don't carry a spare and are unwilling to pull over and call the wrecker then you have to accept the consequences and replace the tire you destroyed by driving on it while flat.
