  1. My son went to jail.  The helmet thing doesn't matter.  Other than the obvious it is extremely STUPID to do.  4-wheelers are extremely dangerous if the proper care is not taken when riding.  Tires on 4-wheelers grip really well and when ridden on asphalt can either flip you or roll over very easily especially with a inexperienced rider.  I raced a 4-wheeler for a long time and you should always wear a helmet.  S.L.A.P.A.H.O.    Support Life And Put A Helmet On!

  2. Too small to be seen by drivers.

Often young,  unlicensed drivers with limited knowledge of traffic laws

Most do not have necessary lights

Too much chance of  injury or death to unprotected riders

And yes,  no helmet is another fine

  3. You will get a ticket of some sort most likely. Although you may be called "downtown" for your llegal gaurdian to come pick you up. Without a helmet you'll just get a lecture on top of this. That is of course you don't die while doing so.

If you mean the side of the road, that's fine as long as it's not a highway or super busy street. A non busy street in your neighborhood is fine.
