Why cant you work outside if it rains when you paint?

ok my boyfriend works for a painting company and if they work outside and it rains they get to come home even if the ground is wet. why is that?

  1. The paint bubbles when there is moisture under it. Even on wet days you don't get a nice finish as the paint doesn't dry properly.


  2. the paint wont dry properly and then he would have to take it off and start all over again so he might as well wait

  3. If he is working on a comercail job there are provisions in the specs that state the tempature and humidity that the structure is to be painted. If the weather are not in these boundries and the contractor paints anyway the contractor can be fined or fired.

  4. Paint will not dry properly.  True even with extreme humidity.
