Disabilities like ADD and Dyslexia and the doctor said I have neither. But for what ever reason I can’t catch typos.

  1. Peter...Few of us can edit our own work and the more you read it the more your brain "skips" over the typo.  It is not an illness or disability.  You simply need to enlist the help of another person to read you work and mark the typos.  Spell checks are great, but they miss a lot of mistakes.

  2. Peter, it is not uncommon to miss your own typos.  I am sure you use spell check, but even that does not get them all.  For written work that is of importance or that others will be reviewing for business, have someone else read your paperwork for errors.
