Question:

Why car tire deflates only while driving on free way?

The front tire on the driver side deflates only when I drive on freeway, in other words, while going on or above 65 miles per hour. When I drive locally, it never deflates. For example, I filled the tire with air and had been driving it for more than a month now. It was perfectly fine. But, within an hour I started driving on the freeway, it deflated. This has happened twice already. Is it problem with the tire or some other problem?

  1. You have a nail oe something in the tire. tight fit and only leaks when tire is moving to move the foreign object which in turn lets out a small amount of air. thus going down the freeway the tire is going around a lot more and is therefor more noticeable.

  2. When you are driving in faster speeds, the tire gets hotter and air expands and making the leak hole bigger. That is possibly the closest explanation I can think of. Take the tire to the shop and check for leaks. won't cost you more than 20 dollars unless the rim is bent.

  3. when driving on free way it will get hotter than normal ,so it will probably be leaking round the bead good luck34
