  1. Cats like to drink milk, but it upsets their digestive system, gives them gas, etc.  Just like a human whose digestive system is not to good with dairy.

  2. Yes it is true because cows milk contains too much lactose for cats to digest easily, it can give them diahorrhea and sickness. You can buy special cat milk from many pet stores or supermarkets in the pet section but you cannot beat good fresh water! Cats are happy and enjoy water if they are brought up used to it or have no other alternatives on offer.

  3. ive always thought that milk was good for them like as a treat.

plus, dont they drink it from their mom wen they are born?

  4. ITS TRUE........AND THE END RESULT OF THAT EXPERIMENT........IS THE RUNS.........

  5. Yes it is true. If you want your cat to have milk, Get cat sip cat milk for it. This milk is made just for cats and it won't hurt the cat at all. It also comes in Whiskas cat milk. I give this cat milk to my cats as a treat. You can find it in the cat food isle. If you get the cat milk, it might have a brownish color to it. This is normal.

  6. Basically, adult cats are lactose intolerant because they weren't designed to drink cow's milk. Some can handle it in small amounts as an occasional treat, but others can't.

  7. Cats become lactose intolerant after being weaned from their Mothers milk. If you think about it, it makes sense that a CAT should not drink COWS milk. Just like humans who are lactose intolerant, some tolerate it better than others. Same with cats and dogs. Some cats may experience diarrhea, while others may only have slight stomach upset. I personally have offered my cats and dogs small amounts of milk here and there and they don't experience any problems.

  8. they can't have cows milk because they can't digest the lactose in it (natural sugars) but there is a reduced lactose milk for cats.... this is only to be given as a treat though otherwise the might have a case of the runs!!!!!

  9. it gives them bad gas

  10. After a certain age, cats become lactose intolerant, especially towards cow milk. They do sell dairy treats, and reduced lactose milk, but they're still meant to be given as a treat.

Milk will give cats gas, diarrhea, and cause other digestive problems. If it last more than a day or so, I'd recommend taking your cat to the vet to see if there are any other problems.
