Why all clocks, watches commercials show 10:10:35 as its default time??

  1. If you look at the analog clock, when you see 10:10:35, it actually projects / 'shows' a smiling / happy face with a 'tongue sticking out'. Cheers!

  2. It's all about marketing, the 10;10 is a way to "center" the clock's logo so that your eyesight is inclined to look at it, as for the :35 im guessing its the same reason.

  3. Weird - this is the third time in 2 days this Q has been asked.  Funny how it seems to go in waves some times...

    Timex says the hands on timepieces are placed at 10:10 so the Company logo on the face will be framed and not blocked by the hands.

    Timex says the industry standard used to be 8:20 but that looked too much like a frown and created an unhappy look.

    Timex says in its ads the clock handsare placed at 10:09:36 exactly
