Why close and lock the bathroom of the gas stations? Did they fear that people the clean?

No, they are concerned that homeless people might go in and sleep.  Besides that, anyone who wants to use it has to come get the key, which means if there is a crime, like a rape, murder, or vandalism that happens in there, their face will be on camera when they go to the counter.

It's for security reasons. The bathroom is a good place to prepare for a robbery.

I'm going to assume that you meant "do they fear the people that come to clean" or "do they fear that people would come to clean" but either way here's what i remember on that.

i remeber seeing a movie where a girl ran away and was washing her hair in the sinks at the gas stations. i don't remeber what the movie was called or who was in it. i saw it at school, but that's probably why. also if the bathroom is locked then they usually check to see if you look like your hiding anything obvcious in your clothes. maybe food, eating in there and then throwing the bag away (another example of homeless activity) or a souvenire and taking the tag off in the bathroom so the alarm doesn't go off. do they have alarms in gas stations? i've never noticed, but anyway it's things like that. the thing is, the bathroom is the only place where it's illegal to put a camera in there to see if your stealing or showering. i agree though, all gas station bathrooms could use a good scrub down. they're charging 4 bucks a gallon of gas and like 3 bucks for a stupid bag of potato chips i think they could spring for some kid getting paid minimum wage to clean the bathrooms. : )

Probably for "safety" reasons because, in reality -- let's say you were being kidnapped (or something - or you were a child and possibly being sexually molested) ---- the bathrooms are on the outside and this way they can KNOW who goes in and comes out and pay attention.........gas stations are the notorious place to stop and "go" and therefore people "on the run" for whatever reasons will use them.  That is just my guess.  PLUS, they usually have old faucets and if you think about it.....on the outside and if no one's paying attention, someone could go in and turn the faucet on and just leave it running.

Watch the movie Carwash it explains a lot of it. They fear that people will have s*x there, hobos may sleep there, use it for showering/abortions/prostitution/not-so-... and other such actions. But yea most are pretty nasty anyways so I don't know why they do it.

They lock the doors to prevent junkies from shooting up drugs in the bathrooms.

Two reasons:

1. If people get into the restroom, especially at night, and the person at the register does not know they are there and the person in the restroom does something (drugs, suicide, etc), the gas station could be liable for it.

2. If a person gets in there and busts the place up, the gas station would never know who did it if they didn't come to get the key from the counter.

im not sure what your asking..but if its why some gas stations keep their bathrooms locked..its to prevent illegal activities..and to always know when someone is in there or not..so someone doesnt hide in their during closing time..or if its an outdoor bathroom..things dont get stolen..

i worked in a gas station for 2 years and i seen some strange things happen in them..we didnt keep them locked tho..we had condoms, p**p in the garbage, ppl peeing on the floor...
