My food won't digest. What could be wrong?

  1. Try taking Tums to relieve any stomach problems then try digesting.


  2. How long has this been going on? My first thought was that you might be bulemic and throwing up for psychological reasons, and that can be a big problem, not least of all, because stomach acid will erode your teeth and also harm your esophagus.

    On the other hand, if for days you haven't been able to digest your meals, that is a big problem, too. It could be something serious, or it could be something easily fixed. Sometimes people have trouble because of too-strong stomach acid, and other times the problem is not enough stomach acid. A doctor can tell you which and what medicine to take.

    Whichever trouble may be the reason for your vomiting, please see a doctor soon, unless you have a cold or the flu and it happens to be affecting your stomach. You know whether that is the case or not.

  3. Maybe you have a digestion problem.
